Medidata implements more than de 4,000 IP phones at Eletronuclear

Medidata, the systems integrator active in the IT market for more than 30 years, wins the bid at Eletronuclear, a subsidiary of Eletrobrás, to implement the IP telephony, in partnership with Cisco Systems, to replace the conventional telephony solution.

The solution will ensure a high availability environment, new features and infrastructure for voice and data customized applications. Medidata, which competed with important players in the market, will provide training, support and product warranty. The contract will be in force for 48 months.

The project is sized to enable more flexibility, technological development, outgoing call monitoring, and cost reduction between the Headquarters in Rio de Janeiro and other facilities. The solution will make available wireless and extension mobility services. The infrastructure allows security updates such as firewall and intrusion protection.

Eletronuclear purchased Cisco's IP PABX, with redundant setup at Angra and Rio de Janeiro to process calls from Brasília Head Office and Angra I, Angra II, Mambucaba and Praia Brava facilities. Besides the IP PABX, Eletronuclear officers will benefit from video telephony features (Cisco VT Advantage) integrated to a video-conferencing environment. Corporate users will be able to use Cisco Unity’s solution for voice mail, call-recording and IP line billing solutions.
