Medidata ends 2008 reporting a growth of 39% in turnover

Innovations and outsourcing in addition to customized solutions back up this growth.

Rio de Janeiro - Medidata, a systems integrator active in the IT market for 32 years closed 2008 fiscal year reporting a growth of 258% in net profit, while gross turnover was R$ 370 million, representing a growth of 39% in reais, compared to the same period in 2007. Medidata has also announced that revenue for the forth quarterly last year was more than R$ 129 million, an increase of 26.5% compared to the same period last year.

“Innovations and outsourcing, in addition to customized solutions backed up this growth in 2008. Our expectations for this year are positive for the sector. In the data communications market, we will continue focusing on IP convergence and introducing new solutions for mobility and corporate communications, in the area of new security technologies and virtualization. We are targeting a two-digit growth in 2009”, remarked Jaques Scvirer, Medidata President.

According to João Lara, Medidata Vice-President, company results show that customers strongly agree with comprehensive solutions that make Medidata more competitive. “Our offer of advanced technology grew significantly, and we were the largest Cisco unified communications integrator in Brazil for the second consecutive year”, says João Lara.

In 2008, the corporate market ranked second in amount of sales for Medidata and supply of IP backbone networks and related products grew 60%. Medidata continued gaining market share and expanded leadership in projects for unified communications, security and data storage.
